Mackenzie Boucher

Mackenzie Boucher is a sophomore at DHS. She joined The Spectrum to be able to communicate topics of student interest to the wider school community. She became interested in literature with the classic Marvel Comics from the 90s handed down to her by her dad in her elementary years, and she has not stopped reading since. With a current interest in more classic reads, her favorite book being The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, she is fascinated with the depression that came after young success. She truly loves all things music, literature, and crime. As a budding sixth grader she became fascinated with the concept of serial killers, like William Pickton (as children do), and now enjoys discussing slightly disturbing topics at the expense and interest of her classmates. She hopes to become a criminal journalist, and hopefully become so renowned she receives Zodiac Killer-esque letters that were written to the press in the heyday of serial killers. Her current goal is to obtain a press pass for The Spectrum, something that will eventually exist because of her.
